Head of Architecture and Technology Strategy (Enterprise Architecture/Cloud/AI): Driving Sun Life Hong Kong’s technology strategy and establishing a purpose-built architecture stack for growing business segments across Greater China with an accent on enterprise architecture, cloud, infrastructure, security, data, and artificial intelligence. Focus on defining multi-year roadmaps, modernising and rationalising platforms, governing technology risk and compliance, and building a high-performing architecture team.

What you will do
- Drive the technology strategy for Hong Kong and establish a purpose-built technology stack for growing business segments across Greater China.
- Build and lead an architecture team covering Chinese and international cloud platforms, infrastructure, and business applications.
- Define enterprise architecture, target-state blueprints, standards, principles, and multi-year technology roadmaps.
- Plan and govern modernisation across core platforms, digital, data, cloud, integration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
- Direct architecture reviews and approvals while managing security, privacy, data residency, outsourcing, regulatory, and operational-readiness requirements.
- Develop engineering practices, engage vendors and industry peers, and align senior business, regional, and corporate stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of enterprise, solution, application, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, and security architecture.
- Strong understanding of insurance business models, digital distribution, core policy administration, and technology-enabled operating models.
- Demonstrated experience in technology strategy, portfolio roadmapping, platform rationalisation, multi-cloud strategy, application modernisation, artificial intelligence, and engineering governance.
- Knowledge of architecture governance, cybersecurity, privacy, data residency, third-party risk, outsourcing, operational resilience, audit, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience operating across Hong Kong, regional, and corporate headquarters environments, including cross-border delivery and stakeholder management.
