Manager Data Scientist - AI

What you will do

• Lead, grow, and retain a team of data scientists while supporting career development, recruiting, mentoring, and team planning.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into measurable machine learning and AI solutions tied to business value.
• Own the technical roadmap across data enrichment, business automation, self-serve AI tools, and agentic product features.
• Oversee the full ML lifecycle, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, deployment, serving, and production monitoring.
• Establish evaluation pipelines, golden datasets, LLM observability, tooling, and production feedback loops for AI products.
• Partner with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to identify opportunities, integrate systems, and communicate results.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science, ML engineering, and/or generative AI, including production model delivery.
• 2+ years managing or leading a data science or ML team.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI, deep learning, NLP, recommendation systems, and data mining.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, LLM fine-tuning, and the OpenAI SDK.
• Experience with LangGraph, Hugging Face, embeddings, retrieval, vector databases, semantic search, RAG pipelines, and production agent orchestration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus strong software engineering, statistics, experimentation, data pipeline, and MLOps skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic system design, harness-first development, LLM observability, evaluation pipelines, and production feedback loops.
• Experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform.
• Postgraduate degree or experience building ML systems for online consumer products.
