Senior Biotechnologist I (Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: City of Singapore. The role follows a twelve-hour rotating shift pattern with day and night shifts, including weekend work when the facility is fully operational.

hirify.global is developing a new modular, digitalized and automated biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Singapore for vaccines and Specialty Care Biologics products.

What you will do

• Perform commissioning and qualification activities for manufacturing equipment, digital systems and automation systems.
• Execute routine GMP manufacturing operations in upstream, downstream, or central manufacturing services.
• Participate in engineering runs, product validation runs and technology transfer activities.
• Train manufacturing colleagues on assigned workflows and procedures.
• Investigate deviations, process abnormalities and critical QMS alarms, taking immediate action to minimize product and schedule impact.
• Support regulatory and audit readiness, housekeeping, continuous improvement and process optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Science, Biology or Chemistry with more than 3 years of biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience, or a diploma in a related field with more than 5 years of experience.
• Experience in biologics or vaccine manufacturing and good knowledge of GMP operations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, diagnostic, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functional, organizational and location boundaries in an integrated team.
• Adaptable, proactive and results-oriented approach with an interest in digital and automated manufacturing systems.
• Availability for twelve-hour rotating day and night shifts, including weekend workdays when operations begin.

Nice to have

• Experience with start-up, commissioning or qualification of a biopharmaceutical facility.
• Prior experience with Single Use Systems.
• Knowledge of MES, ERP, AGVs, robotics, conveyor systems and QMS platforms.
