Associate Scientist I (Molecular Biology)

What you will do

• Perform routine plasmid extraction experiments, including mini-prep, maxi-prep, and plate plasmid extraction.
• Record and organize experimental data and report progress promptly.
• Review experimental experience and suggest improvements to relevant SOPs.
• Communicate and help resolve abnormal issues encountered during experiments.
• Maintain and manage laboratory instruments and equipment, including centrifuges and clean benches.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Biology, Medicine, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on working experience in molecular biology is required.
• Solid theoretical knowledge and proficiency in routine molecular biology laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with centrifuges, clean benches, and other laboratory equipment.
• Good communication skills, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with DNA or RNA extraction.
• Experience with bacterial cell culture.
