Senior Backend Engineer (SaaS)

Location: US, Remote

Base salary: $170,000–$235,000 annually, plus potential equity in the form of stock options.

hirify.global is a remote cybersecurity product company developing NodeZero, a platform for autonomous penetration testing and security assessment operations.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services for licensing, entitlements, feature access, usage limits, and packaging rules.
• Build provisioning and onboarding workflows for account setup, entitlement propagation, and customer activation.
• Develop multi-tenant administration infrastructure, including access controls, account settings, account hierarchies, RBAC, and authorization.
• Build MSP/MSSP capabilities for asset allocation, sub-client management, usage visibility, and reporting.
• Implement audit logging, event history, notifications, monitoring, runbooks, and incident-response workflows.
• Collaborate with platform teams and contribute production code with strong testing, observability, design quality, and operational rigor.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern object-oriented or functional programming languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building production applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage concurrent initiatives, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Expert SQL proficiency and experience with relational database architectures, particularly PostgreSQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, tenant isolation, RBAC, authorization, authentication, or SSO.
• Experience with licensing, subscriptions, entitlements, usage metering, billing-adjacent systems, provisioning, feature flags, or staged rollouts.
• Experience with admin consoles, customer self-service workflows, MSP/MSSP models, notifications infrastructure, or account hierarchy management.
• Production reliability experience, including observability, on-call ownership, runbooks, and incident response.
