Fire Sprinkler Inspector (Fire Protection): Inspecting, testing, and documenting fire sprinkler system installations at a large-scale manufacturing facility under construction with an accent on NFPA compliance, field verification, and detailed deficiency reporting. Focus on coordinating with installation crews, engineers, contractors, AHJs, and client representatives while resolving field issues and supporting acceptance testing and system turnover.
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; full-time onsite work at the TSMC facility and active construction site. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will do
- Inspect fire sprinkler pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, control panels, alarms, and related systems for proper operation and code compliance.
- Test and evaluate system functionality, including hydrostatic tests, flushes, and acceptance testing.
- Identify fire hazards and deficiencies, documenting findings with detailed reports, photographs, and field notes.
- Coordinate with installation crews, subcontractors, engineers, project managers, maintenance teams, AHJs, third-party inspectors, and client representatives.
- Support constructability reviews, punch list development, closeout documentation, system turnover, and corrective actions.
- Enforce jobsite safety requirements and provide guidance on fire sprinkler operation, maintenance, and testing.
Requirements
- Experience in fire sprinkler inspection, installation, or quality control in commercial or industrial construction.
- Working knowledge of NFPA standards, including NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, and 25.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, reporting, recordkeeping, and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inspection tools.
- Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders, access elevated work areas, work in varying weather conditions, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work full-time onsite at the Phoenix, Arizona construction facility.
Nice to have
- NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology.
- Experience with large manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
- Experience working with AHJs and third-party inspectors.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
