Partner 20, Staff Engineer, Enterprise Security (AI)

Location: Hybrid role requiring in-office presence every Tuesday and Thursday in San Francisco, California, with occasional days in Menlo Park, California.

Salary: $243,000–$284,000 annually, plus potential carry, discretionary bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the insider risk and data protection program, including selection and implementation of a DLP platform and AI-augmented investigative tooling.
• Drive secure adoption of AI tools and agents by defining data controls, access governance, guardrails, and oversight processes.
• Manage SaaS security posture, vendor inventories, secure configuration baselines, SSPM, and monitoring for risky changes.
• Set and enforce authentication, authorization, device trust, MFA, and access-review policies with IT.
• Manage EDR coverage and rulesets across macOS, Windows, and iOS, coordinating MDM policies with IT.
• Investigate insider risk and data exfiltration events, lead vendor security reviews, support joiner-mover-leaver processes, and participate in the security on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering or enterprise security.
• Deep expertise in identity and access management, authentication and authorization, DLP, insider risk tooling, SSPM, and endpoint management.
• Experience owning security programs end to end, including strategy, vendor selection, implementation, and accountability for outcomes.
• Hands-on experience securing enterprise AI tools and agentic systems, including data-flow controls, model and tool access governance, and AI vendor evaluation.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Okta, MDM, SSPM, zero-trust architecture, cloud-native environments, and third-party security assessments.
• Ability to translate technical risk for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
