Accounting Specialist Senior - Tax Credit

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; in-office position

Base salary: $75,000–$150,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide accounting, financial, regulatory reporting, research, and control oversight for a business function.
• Create accounting memoranda and specialized reports for internal and external use.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and audit work papers.
• Reconcile accounts related to bank accounting, loans and investments, deposits, tax, and subsidiary regulatory reporting.
• Support accounting staff in developing their professional skills.
• Apply customer-focused decision-making and manage risks in line with the enterprise risk management framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, certification, and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with real estate practices, underwriting, credit analysis, regulatory environments, and property data analysis.

• Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credits).
• Experience with Oracle.
• Knowledge of tax analysis, balance sheets, management reporting, and finance.
