IT Functional Analyst (Banking & Payments)

Location: Diegem, Belgium; candidates must be located in Belgium. Hybrid work with 70% from home and the option to work abroad for up to 45 days.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and process analysis.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and align them with technical teams.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support solution design and validate delivered functionality against business requirements.
• Train end users, create documentation, and provide functional support.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.

Requirements

• Fluent Dutch and English are required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
• Professional experience as a Functional or Business Analyst with strong knowledge of business processes and IT systems.
• Strong understanding of payment fundamentals, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, ecosystem roles, and merchant and bank processes.
• Knowledge of payment methods and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with SQL, basic data analysis, enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM, and Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
