Financial Services Intern

Location: On-site five days per week in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Applicants must currently reside in the La Crosse area.

Salary: $18.00 per hour

What you will do

• Make collection calls on outstanding accounts receivable and communicate with customers and sales offices.
• Audit accounts, reconcile customer balances, apply payments, and process account maintenance requests.
• Email invoice copies and account summaries and complete required legal documents.
• Develop processes and implement improvements to increase department efficiency.
• Build knowledge of risk assessment and receivables quality in the construction industry.
• Train new interns and hires and present department best practices.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in the La Crosse area.
• Full-time student in a four-year program with a business major; senior students at two- or four-year institutions may be considered.
• Available to work 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during summer and breaks.
• PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, dependable, collaborative, and able to build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Effective communication and basic math skills.
