Global HTA Strategy (Senior) Consultant - Spain (Hybrid/Home-based)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; the role may also be based in Greece, Portugal, or South Africa. Hybrid/home-based working is available with flexibility regarding office attendance and remote work.

What you will do

• Shape and lead health technology assessment strategy offerings within the global Health Economics and HTA team.
• Manage client relationships, business development, project scope, milestones, and delivery quality.
• Lead UK HTA strategy, dossier development, submission support, early scientific advice, and strategic HTA engagements, particularly with NICE and the SMC.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with Market Access, Patient-Centered Solutions, HTA Accelerator Solutions, database studies, and international teams.
• Identify challenges to product value and develop risk-mitigation strategies supporting market access and reimbursement.
• Contribute to thought leadership, publications, conferences, mentoring, and line management activities.

Requirements

• Postgraduate degree or higher in HTA, health economics, economics, life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience preparing evidence submissions aligned with UK and/or European HTA processes, including appraisal and negotiation where relevant.
• Experience with UK HTA submissions, early scientific advice, strategic HTA planning, and preferably multi-country HTA submissions.
• Project management experience, including management of multidisciplinary teams, with strong strategic thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical-industry structures and commercial objectives; consultancy experience and an HEOR network are highly desirable.
• Fluent English is required, and applications and CVs must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of clinical-trial design, statistical methods, evidence synthesis, biostatistics, and health-economic modelling.
• Experience with STATA or R.
• Commercial acumen, consultancy skills, and experience contributing to publications, white papers, or conference materials.
