Process Monitoring Systems Lead (Data Engineering, ML and AI)

What you will do

• Lead the coordination, implementation, and configuration of offline and online process monitoring systems across the manufacturing and supply network.
• Provide expert support for industrial IoT data management, data contextualization, and Edge-to-Cloud connectivity.
• Partner with manufacturing operations, Digital, Smart Factory, and global functions to improve source data systems and time-series platforms.
• Design and support advanced analytics, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making for new and legacy facilities.
• Train the global MSAT Data Science network in data engineering and visualization techniques.
• Coordinate contractors and co-op employees to maintain sustainable data and analytics support.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with large-scale datasets, cloud computing, and cloud data services.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills for ETL automation, plus experience building data contextualization pipelines and CI/CD deployments.
• Experience with industrial IoT applications, process automation systems, PLCs, DCS, sensors, and embedded devices.
• Experience designing web-based user interfaces and real-time dashboards using Power BI or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, Azure, AVEVA PI or Aspen InfoPlus 21, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and data visualization tools.
• Fluent English and Dutch; degree in Process Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with SeeQ, SIMCA, Dataiku, JMP, Tableau, or PI Vision.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance for manufacturing equipment.
• Project management, Lean and Agile practices, user experience management, and vendor management.
