Medical Director, Psychiatrist

Location: Home-based in the U.S.; Durham, North Carolina

Salary: $115,900–$322,900 annual base pay

What you will do

• Act as a global, regional, or back-up Medical Advisor on assigned clinical trial projects.
• Provide medical support to investigative sites and project staff on protocol clarifications, inclusion and exclusion decisions, patient safety, and eligibility.
• Contribute to the medical review of protocols, Investigative Drug Brochures, Case Report Forms, Clinical Study Reports, and patient narratives.
• Review and clarify adverse events, including serious adverse events in collaboration with Pharmacovigilance.
• Support adverse event coding and Analysis of Similar Events activities.
• Provide therapeutic-area training and participate in investigator, kick-off, team, and client meetings.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school with a relevant general medical education curriculum.
• Specialty board certification in Psychiatry.
• 5–7 years of relevant clinical-trial experience as an Investigator, Sub-Investigator, or in a related Pharma or CRO role.
• Current knowledge of the medical, scientific, and clinical landscape in the applicable therapeutic area.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in Spanish and English.
• Current and valid medical license or equivalent in the country or region where the candidate resides and works.
