Engineering Team Lead, Site Reliability Engineering (Digital Banking)

What you will do

• Lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers and technical individual contributors supporting digital banking platforms.
• Drive SRE practices including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, observability, monitoring, automation, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, product, risk, and business stakeholders to improve reliability, scalability, resiliency, and customer experience.
• Oversee release readiness, production support, deployment governance, rollback procedures, and production validation.
• Implement Azure cloud engineering and Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Lead CI/CD, release engineering, and resilient deployment strategies including Active-Active, Blue/Green, Canary, and progressive delivery.

Requirements

• At least 9 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including 4 years of engineering or architecture experience and 3 years of leadership experience.
• Experience leading technical teams supporting highly available, customer-facing applications and distributed or cloud-based systems.
• Experience with SRE principles, observability, logging, alerting, incident management, service reliability metrics, and production support.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, Artifactory, source control, and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of release engineering, high-availability architectures, Active-Active deployments, and zero-downtime delivery strategies.
• Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, project management, and people leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in Digital Banking, financial services, or other mission-critical customer-facing platforms.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, web application architectures, APIs, and modern digital platforms.
• Knowledge of Blue/Green deployments, Canary releases, feature flagging, disaster recovery, and progressive delivery.
• Experience with technology modernization and platform transformation initiatives.
