Software Engineer (.NET & AI)

Location: Cary, North Carolina, United States; onsite five days a week. The position may require 10% travel.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, DevExpress, and related technologies.
• Build and integrate AI-powered assistants, copilots, agentic workflows, and generative AI capabilities into business applications.
• Design web application data and presentation layers and develop AI-enabled user experiences.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate enterprise platforms, data sources, and Azure AI services.
• Collaborate with solution architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Improve application performance, security, responsible AI governance, documentation, and production support through Agile development and code reviews.

Requirements

• Professional experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Framework, Entity Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or similar AI technologies.
• Knowledge of large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, and AI orchestration.
• Hands-on experience implementing Azure AD/Entra ID authentication and authorization using OIDC/OAuth2, app registrations, scopes, roles, and claims.
• Understanding of Azure Key Vault, SDLC, Agile methods, responsible AI, security, governance, model evaluation, and human oversight.

Nice to have

• Experience building enterprise AI assistants, copilots, agentic AI solutions, or intelligent automation workflows.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and AI solution deployment.
• Manufacturing or dealer network experience.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Power BI, Power Automate, and GitHub Copilot.
