TL;DR

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States of America; on-site at the Raritan manufacturing site

Salary: $23.50–$52.50 per hour

What you will do

  • Support manufacturing automation systems, including DeltaV and OSI PI, through monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Assist Automation Engineers with equipment onboarding, process-control design reviews, testing, commissioning, and system integration.
  • Support industrial data collection, visualization, reporting, historians, OT networks, and OT/IT connectivity initiatives.
  • Participate in automation qualification, testing, validation, risk assessments, change controls, and quality activities under GMP requirements.
  • Analyze automation performance data and contribute to reliability, efficiency, digital manufacturing, and manual-process reduction initiatives.
  • Complete a defined automation or digital manufacturing project, maintain documentation, provide status updates, and present results.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's program in a relevant technical discipline, such as computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • Available to work full time, 40 hours per week, at the Raritan site during the co-op term.
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
  • Remain actively enrolled throughout the internship period and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

Nice to have

  • Coursework or project experience in automation, controls, robotics, instrumentation, or process engineering.
  • Knowledge of programming concepts and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, industrial networking, or process control systems.
  • Experience with Power BI, Python, or SQL and an interest in Industry 4.0, digital transformation, or operational technology.
