TL;DR
Controlling Operations GBU Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Controlling): Providing controlling support for local business units through budgeting, forecasting, monthly closing, project tracking, and financial planning and analysis with an accent on OPEX, CAPEX, sales, industrial costing, and headcount control. Focus on explaining forecast variances, monitoring manufacturing performance, ensuring SOX and internal control compliance, and improving finance processes across a complex international organization.

Location: Hybrid role in Budapest, Hungary, at hirify.global Business Operations, Váci Greens

Salary: HUF 10,944,000–16,416,000 annually

What you will do

  • Provide operational controlling support for sales, gross-to-net, industrial costing, OPEX, and CAPEX activities.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, rolling forecasts, monthly closings, scorecards, and variance commentary.
  • Track budgets, projects, headcount, assumptions, risks, and opportunities with Finance Business Partners and Budget Owners.
  • Oversee project approval, capitalization, standard cost calculations, POV analyses, and manufacturing performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal finance policies, asset management procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify process gaps, implement improved ways of working, and support finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of diversified financial controlling experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, data downloads, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work across international workstreams and in a complex matrix environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, operate under strict deadlines, and drive change.

Nice to have

  • MBA and/or CPA qualification.
  • Pharmaceutical or public accounting experience.
  • Commercial finance and gross-to-net experience.
