Senior AI & Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite, primarily working from an HPE office

What you will do

• Act as the technical subject matter expert across AI engineering, data architecture, pipeline engineering, and deployment.
• Architect and deliver production-grade agentic AI systems, advanced RAG solutions, LLM integrations, and ML products.
• Lead the full machine learning lifecycle, including feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, explainability, and fairness assessment.
• Design governed data transformations, ingestion pipelines, data quality frameworks, and data contracts across Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Collibra.
• Provide technical leadership for AI-augmented RPA, reporting, Power BI integrations, and AI-led process automation.
• Mentor the Applied AI Engineer and AI Data Engineer and lead architecture reviews, technical discovery, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, applied data science, or LLM engineering.
• Production experience delivering AI systems with measurable business impact.
• Deep expertise with at least two major LLM platforms, including evaluation and integration at scale.
• Significant experience with Collibra or an equivalent enterprise data governance platform.
• Expert Python, advanced SQL, Azure architecture, machine learning, LLM engineering, MLOps, data governance, and cross-functional technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with responsible AI practices, fairness auditing, explainability, and content safety.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript.
