IT Business Analyst - Payments (Core Banking)

What you will do

• Interpret and refine business requirements, product backlogs, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Design and validate technical solution options with developers and Product Owners.
• Analyze banking processes and translate complex business needs into functional specifications.
• Ensure software quality, including security, performance, availability, scalability, and governance requirements.
• Build and execute automated functional, integration, user acceptance, and production tests.
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies, provide documentation and technical support, and mentor less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in banking, ideally with core banking systems and payments.
• Experience with core banking systems and APIs, including CABI or AMS API.
• Knowledge of payments, SEPA, SWIFT, ISO 20022, or SWIFT MT/MX messaging is advantageous.
• Experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle, and SQL.
• Understanding of microservices, self-contained systems, ITIL processes, provider management, and regulatory governance.
• Completed studies in business informatics, business administration, or an equivalent field; English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of German.
• Experience working across agile and non-agile projects.
