Data Analyst Lead (Retail Analytics)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary analytical point of contact for retail leadership data requests.
• Translate business questions into analytical plans, data requirements, success measures, and executive-ready outputs.
• Deliver recurring and ad hoc analysis covering retail performance, producer productivity, sales activity, revenue, margin, and operational trends.
• Create narratives, visual summaries, and recommendations that clarify performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and next actions.
• Partner with BI, data engineering, data product, and business teams to maintain accurate, governed reporting.
• Convert recurring ad hoc requests into scalable dashboards, curated datasets, or standardized self-service reporting assets.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis, retail analytics, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with governed datasets, semantic models, reporting layers, or enterprise data warehouses.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI and visualization platforms.
• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and translate complex business questions into actionable analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and data storytelling skills.
• Ability to work remotely from Florida, United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, finance, business, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Experience in insurance brokerage, retail operations, financial services, or complex matrixed environments.
• Experience with data governance, metric definition, data quality review, and executive dashboard quality assurance.
• Familiarity with Python, R, advanced Excel, data modeling, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
