Location: Durham, North Carolina, United States; hands-on warehouse, stockroom, receiving, distribution, and inventory duties are required.

What you will do

  • Track and maintain the lifecycle, location, status, usage, and documentation of hardware, software, peripherals, and licenses.
  • Distribute, receive, restock, transport, inspect, and ship hardware and supplies across assigned Duke Health facilities.
  • Use ServiceNow, Buy@Duke, SAP, CMDB, HAM, barcode scanners, and related tools to document asset and inventory movements.
  • Perform inventory counts, monitor warranty dates, maintain FIFO rotation, adjust par levels, and address slow-moving or insufficient stock.
  • Analyze inventory, demand, supplier, and usage data to improve replenishment, availability, distribution workflows, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, IT, suppliers, customers, and management; Level 3 responsibilities include training, mentoring, troubleshooting, and leading improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, customer service, inventory control, or a comparable service area.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management, supply chain, warehouse, stockroom, inventory control, safety, and equipment maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, asset management software, ServiceNow HAM, CMDB, SAP, and barcode scanners.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to perform hands-on physical duties, including frequent lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, and pushing or pulling supply carts with up to 100 pounds of force.
