News Media Desk Coordinator

A media organization producing and distributing news programming.

What you will do

• Transfer metadata from news rundowns to the PAM archival system using iNews.
• Ingest video codes and prepare media for editing and archival workflows.
• Create sequences in Avid Media Composer to support media consolidation and archiving.
• Enter and maintain accurate metadata for video content.
• Collaborate with producers by providing creative input and content support.
• Complete organized and accurate media workflows within deadlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of video editing or media management.
• General knowledge of current events and news programming.
• Ability to learn new systems, follow workflows, manage multiple tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a service-oriented approach.
• Bilingual written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

Nice to have

• Coursework or training in broadcast media, journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Avid Media Composer, iNews, or similar systems.
• Experience with metadata entry and media archival workflows.
