Software Engineer - UI (Vue)

Location: Remote within the United States; final interview on-site in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Must be available during EST business hours.

What you will do

• Transform critical internal claims applications into modern browser-based enterprise applications.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain frontend applications, programs, subroutines, and scripts.
• Build scalable, reusable Vue components and integrate applications with RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services.
• Implement secure authentication solutions and improve application capacity, response time, and reliability.
• Support UI modernization initiatives, establish development best practices, and contribute to technical leadership.
• Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts and programmers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 3 years of systems and programming experience, including experience with application development methodologies and standards.
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js 3+, TypeScript, single-page applications, enterprise UI frameworks such as PrimeVue, and REST API integrations.
• Experience with OAuth/OpenID Connect authentication and frontend integration with enterprise backend services.
• Strong analysis, design, coding, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Work authorization sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Pinia, component library design, automated testing, Agile practices, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and mentoring teammates.
