Specialist Solutions Architect (AWS Infrastructure & Platform)

Location: United States; remote work available. Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD annually, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise enterprise customers across the full lifecycle of Databricks deployments on AWS, from architecture through production.
• Design secure, scalable deployments covering AWS networking, identity, compliance, and platform administration.
• Build custom solutions and demonstrate Databricks differentiation in competitive technical evaluations.
• Coordinate DSAs, SAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Provide structured customer feedback to influence product direction.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Advanced expertise in AWS security, IAM, identity protocols, enterprise networking, PrivateLink, deployment management, observability, and cost management.
• Hands-on infrastructure automation experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, including live coding, debugging, and solution building.
• Experience designing distributed data systems, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience; strong communication and architecture leadership skills.

• Databricks or AWS certifications.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse.
• Background in a data, AI, or cloud provider organization.
