Senior OT Security Analyst (Industrial Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in Australia; AEST coverage, with shift-based work and occasional weekend/on-call coverage.

What you will do

• Lead regional shift operations while guiding analysts through detection alert and network telemetry triage across customer OT environments.
• Investigate suspicious activity, misconfigurations, anomalies, and potential malicious behavior across industrial networks.
• Escalate findings to incident responders and threat hunters with clear, actionable documentation.
• Partner with analysts, threat hunters, incident responders, platform engineers, and Detection Engineering to tune detections, reduce false positives, and develop playbooks.
• Prepare incident summaries and operational reports for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Support asset classification, vulnerability management, hardening recommendations, customer information requests, and ongoing expertise in ICS/OT protocols and adversary tradecraft.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in network security, ideally including real-world threat investigation.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, and packet analysis.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools such as IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, or network traffic analyzers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating technical findings to internal teams and customers.
• Interest in ICS/OT cybersecurity and the ability to learn and apply complex industrial concepts.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and participate in the stated shift schedules, including weekend coverage.

Nice to have

• Security Operations Center experience.
• Familiarity with OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and Ethernet/IP and with ICS environments.
• Knowledge of OT-relevant adversary tactics and frameworks, including MITRE ATT&CK for ICS.
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat hunting, digital forensics, PCAP analysis, Python, or Bash.
