Recruiter, PhD & Research

Location: London, United Kingdom, or New York, United States

Base salary: USD 140,000–180,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Source and cultivate long-term relationships with PhD candidates, research labs, and industry researchers.
• Develop a deep understanding of mathematical, physical, computational, and quantitative talent.
• Manage a high-volume inbound application pipeline and deliver a personalized candidate experience.
• Represent HRT at specialized conferences, workshops, seminars, and other academic or industry events.
• Partner with Recruiting Coordinators to streamline interviews and own offer negotiations and conversions.
• Improve pipeline management, candidate experience, and academic engagement processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience hiring elite technical or quantitative talent.
• Experience managing full-lifecycle recruiting, including campus engagement, outbound sourcing, and inbound applications.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to understand complex technical domains.
• Hands-on execution mindset, resilience, composure, and organizational precision.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with highly technical candidates and colleagues.
