Manager, ML Engineering

What you will do

• Lead and grow an ML engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and career development.
• Design and deploy ML systems from research to production, including training pipelines, inference infrastructure, and monitoring.
• Partner with data science, product, and platform engineering to turn business requirements into technical roadmaps and prioritized deliverables.
• Own code quality, testing standards, technical debt management, and production observability.
• Establish practices for model governance, reproducibility, and performance tracking.
• Shape ML strategy and engineering standards while communicating technical constraints, opportunities, and budget needs to leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on ML engineering experience, including at least 2 years shipping production ML systems.
• 2+ years in people leadership or technical mentorship, with experience recruiting and developing engineers.
• Fluency with ML tooling and infrastructure, including training frameworks, experiment tracking, feature stores, deployment platforms, and monitoring.
• Experience building and maintaining production systems at scale, including data pipelines, testing, and observability.
• Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
