Casualty QA Internal Auditor

What you will do

• Conduct technical, quality, data, planned, ad hoc, and thematic audits across claims operations.
• Review claims files, processes, controls, and operational performance to identify trends, risks, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
• Analyse claims and operational data, manage audit samples and review schedules, and produce reports with practical recommendations.
• Present findings to operational leaders, business owners, relationship managers, claims handlers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor corrective action plans, support remediation, and help improve process compliance, data quality, and claims handling standards.
• Coach colleagues and support training, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in UK insurance claims handling, auditing, quality assurance, or a related technical claims role.
• Knowledge of casualty claims, including EL/PL, third-party property damage, CAR, motor personal injury, disease, professional risks, or medical malpractice.
• Understanding of UK policy and indemnity coverages, UK law, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures.
• Experience conducting audits or quality assurance assessments independently, working with claims data and audit sampling methodologies.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, report-writing, presentation, communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to work effectively in hybrid and office-based environments when required.

• Advanced Excel and analytical tool capability.
• Relevant insurance industry qualifications.
• Understanding of responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in business processes.
