TL;DR
Quality Assurance Analyst, Winter 2027 Co-op (Financial Services): Conducting file-level quality reviews, assessing credit policy and lending-authority compliance, and supporting audits and risk management within a banking environment with an accent on credit risk, underwriting, and cross-functional quality standards. Focus on identifying policy trends, recommending process improvements, and supporting corrective actions across Retail Banking, Account Management, and related financial services areas.

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site. Employees must reside and work within Canada.

Temporary fixed-term position running for 4 months from January to April 2027, with 37.5 weekly hours.

What you will do

  • Conduct independent file-level reviews against quality and productivity metrics.
  • Assess compliance with credit policies, procedures, and delegated lending authorities.
  • Review processes across Retail Banking, Account Management, Private Wealth, Capital Markets, and Indirect Auto.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing information and helping address findings.
  • Identify risk trends, recommend process improvements, and share best practices with the team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies after the term.
  • University student pursuing a Master’s or MBA degree.
  • 2–4 years of experience in risk management, credit risk, compliance, or quality assurance within financial services.
  • Experience in credit adjudication or underwriting, with strong analytical and review skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to reside within Canada.

Nice to have

  • Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Computer Science studies.
  • Knowledge of COINS, CLASS, M-MORTGAGE, LCMS, ECIF, SAVVY, TARGET, ICBS, or CRS.
  • Bilingual English and French proficiency.
