Cybersecurity Senior Specialist (Incident Response Team Coordinator, CSIRT)

Location: Hybrid role based at the SCE facility in Rosemead, California. Employees are generally required to work and reside in California, with up to 10% travel across the SCE service territory and possible extended assignments at other locations.

Salary: $143,900–$215,800 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate enterprise cybersecurity incident response with CSOC analysts, IT, legal, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.
• Maintain the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan and improve incident response playbooks and runbooks.
• Investigate suspected attacks, manage security incidents, perform forensics where appropriate, and support evidence production for audits.
• Plan and facilitate cybersecurity exercises, lead post-incident lessons learned reviews, and track corrective actions.
• Perform security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, business impact analyses, and technology risk investigations.
• Develop security metrics, alerts, dashboards, and reports while implementing controls that protect systems and sensitive data.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Employees are generally required to work and reside in California.
• Five or more years of experience in information technology, information security, and/or cybersecurity.
• Experience with security operations centers and/or incident response teams.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and executives during high-pressure incidents.
• Successful completion of a NERC/CIP Personnel Risk Assessment or background investigation is required before hiring.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three or more years of experience managing cross-functional programs or projects.
• Experience tracking data, producing metrics, and managing multiple action items, timelines, and decisions.
