TL;DR
Data Analyst (SQL/Alteryx): Designing scalable data models and translating business needs into actionable data requirements with an accent on data quality, governance, metadata management, and source integrity. Focus on analyzing and transforming data, defining data lineage and relationship specifications, and evaluating upstream system changes for downstream impact.
Location: Charlotte, NC 28277, United States; hybrid with onsite work 3 days per week

What you will do
- Gather and refine requirements for data use cases with business stakeholders.
- Design scalable data models and data element relationships focused on usability, performance, and accuracy.
- Define requirements for data source integrity monitoring and support database enhancement requests.
- Document data lineage, data sharing agreements, metadata, and other data management artifacts.
- Assess upstream system-of-record changes for data impacts and recommend solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and align with technology and data governance groups.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Ability to write, read, and optimize MSSQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with data cleansing, validation, and transformation logic using Alteryx and SSMS.
- Knowledge of data sourcing, transformation logic, database specifications, metadata management, and data governance.
- Proficiency in data profiling and root cause analysis for data quality issues.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and navigate ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Experience with Google Data Cloud, including Dataplex and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with SSIS packages and jobs.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and Atlassian tools, including Jira.
