Product Manager - Foundation Engineering

Location: Remote, USA. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship and ready to begin work in the U.S. on the first day.

Base salary: $158,000–$248,000 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the roadmap for observability and compute/network infrastructure products.
• Prioritize metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, on-call tooling, SLOs, compute provisioning, container orchestration, networking, service mesh, capacity, and infrastructure cost management.
• Translate reliability, security, developer experience, capacity, and cost tradeoffs into sequenced product investments.
• Define and track outcomes such as SLO attainment, detection and restoration time, self-service adoption, provisioning lead time, and cost efficiency.
• Drive secure, policy-compliant self-service for instrumentation, dashboards, and compute/network provisioning.
• Gather engineering feedback, communicate roadmap decisions, and evaluate observability and infrastructure technology trends.

Requirements

• Prior product management experience, preferably with infrastructure-facing products such as observability, SRE tooling, cloud compute, or networking platforms.
• Experience defining roadmaps and delivering infrastructure or platform capabilities across multiple engineering stakeholders.
• Technical fluency in observability or compute and networking, including metrics, logs, tracing, SLOs, cloud compute, containers, Kubernetes, or networking.
• Experience prioritizing reliability, security, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure cost investments.
• Familiarity with SRE practices, incident management, error budgets, and on-call process design.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with platforms and tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Wavefront, Sentry, Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud-provider networking and cost-management tools.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Experience driving infrastructure adoption and self-service across a large, distributed engineering organization.
• Experience partnering with globally distributed teams across time zones.
