Product Manager, Compute (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid schedule for candidates within commuting distance of an office; fully remote beyond that distance. In-office anchor days are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for eligible office-based employees. Offices are located in San Francisco, New York, London, and Berlin.

Salary: $208,000–$312,000 annual base pay in San Francisco. Compensation may be adjusted based on employee location and may include equity, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the compute platform, including Fluid Compute, Functions, and Sandboxes.
• Define how developers configure, scale, and run functions, multi-service architectures, and AI or agent workloads.
• Shape the developer experience through resource models, APIs, and configuration files.
• Partner with Engineering on compute performance and reliability, including cold starts and creation-time latency.
• Define pricing for new compute products and resources and establish primitives for adjacent product areas.
• Work directly with Enterprise customers and field teams to address infrastructure requirements that affect adoption and scale.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping infrastructure or developer platform products, ideally in compute, serverless, containers, or runtime platforms.
• Technical depth in concurrency, cold starts, isolation models, and compute cost and performance tradeoffs.
• Experience owning a platform area used by other product teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience with AI or agent workloads and their resource profiles compared with conventional web traffic.
• Experience working directly with Enterprise customers on infrastructure requirements.
• Experience using usage and product analytics to guide roadmap decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience at a cloud provider or with serverless, container, or edge compute platforms.
• Engineering experience or a background building software.
• Experience with multi-runtime platforms and language-runtime tradeoffs.
• Experience with sandboxing, isolation, or secure execution of untrusted code.
