TL;DR
Medical Science Liaison (MedTech): Developing scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders in Bogotá to support informed treatment decisions, medical strategy, and adoption of innovative therapies with an accent on scientific exchange, medical insights, and therapeutic-area expertise. Focus on designing KOL engagement plans, executing scientific events, responding to clinical inquiries, and identifying barriers to changes in medical practice.

Location: Bogotá, Colombia; field-based with regular visits to healthcare institutions and more than 50% travel required

What you will do

  • Act as a scientific and medical expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with academic and community healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Design and execute scientific exchange plans aligned with medical strategy.
  • Deliver scientific events and support continuing medical education programs.
  • Respond to scientific inquiries and translate scientific data into real-world medical practice.
  • Gather field insights on treatment paradigms, medical needs, competitive dynamics, and opportunities, while supporting potential clinical site recruitment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field, plus relevant postgraduate education.
  • Deep knowledge of the relevant therapeutic area and ability to interpret and communicate scientific data.
  • Relevant healthcare-sector or academic research experience; more than two years in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • English proficiency at C1–C2 level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong critical and strategic thinking, and strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for more than 50% travel are required.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
  • Experience with clinical research, competitive landscape analysis, medical communications, or market research.
