Senior Facilities Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing): Ensuring reliable, compliant, and efficient operation of GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Bend, Oregon with an accent on facility systems, maintenance, capital projects, and technical documentation. Focus on leading reliability and lifecycle improvements, solving complex facilities issues, mentoring engineers, and supporting after-hours operations and emergency response.

Location: Bend, Oregon, USA; fully site-based. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

What you will do

  • Ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient operation of critical GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing and development facilities.
  • Provide technical leadership for facility systems, troubleshooting, investigations, operational issues, and system performance improvements.
  • Lead reliability, sustainability, capacity, compliance, lifecycle, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Lead facilities engineering activities for capital projects and manage facility-related change controls.
  • Develop and review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, SOPs, standards, and user requirement specifications.
  • Mentor engineers and direct contractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams while participating in on-call and emergency support.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience owning facility or utility systems and leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Experience with facility and utility systems, equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring engineers, technicians, or maintenance personnel.
  • Practical experience with Building Automation and Management Systems (BAS/BMS).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline; proficiency with 2D CAD tools such as AutoCAD or DraftSight.

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
