FinOps Expert (Temporary Contract)

hirify.global provides European B2B data and sales intelligence through a SaaS platform used by revenue teams to identify and engage qualified decision-makers.

What you will do

• Own continuous FinOps and AWS rightsizing across production and non-production R&D environments.
• Build cost visibility by service, engineering domain, environment, team, and accountable owner.
• Track cost baselines, trends, anomalies, forecasts, and material variances, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Maintain an optimisation backlog with owners, expected savings, effort, and delivery status.
• Assess the financial impact of infrastructure changes and partner with engineering, data, operations, finance, and leadership teams.
• Develop recurring cloud cost reporting and promote cost-conscious engineering practices using Port.io and cloud cost data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, cloud infrastructure, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience analysing and optimising AWS spend in production environments.
• Experience with cost allocation, tagging, ownership models, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and rightsizing.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cost, reliability, performance, and scalability trade-offs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including confidence working with large cost and utilisation datasets.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• FinOps Foundation certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes economics, shared-platform cost allocation, Port.io, service catalogues, or engineering scorecards.
• Experience building automated cost dashboards, anomaly detection, or optimisation workflows.
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or data-platform environment.
