Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote with occasional visits to Gdańsk, Poland

Salary: 1,280–1,440 PLN per day on B2B

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance the API Portal platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform across multiple environments.
• Build, optimize, and support Docker-based deployments and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage GitLab runners, autoscaling, and build infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues while supporting incident management and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ALB, IAM, VPC, ECR, CloudWatch, ECS, S3, KMS, WAF, OpenSearch, and related services.
• Practical experience with AWS multi-environment releases, GitLab Runner autoscaling, and build infrastructure.
• Strong Docker, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and GitLab CI/CD skills.
• Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
• Good understanding of platform security, access management, and least-privilege practices.
• Good English communication skills for daily collaboration in an international environment.

Nice to have

• CloudFormation experience in hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and OpenSearch or Elasticsearch operations.
• Experience with AWS WAF administration, cost optimization, synthetic monitoring, or RUM.
• Experience with JVM-based web applications, incident response, root cause analysis, and operational excellence.
