Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 base salary plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own software projects end to end, including engineering design, coding, testing, and rollout.
• Build secure, scalable solutions across frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure.
• Develop foundational Core Platform capabilities such as notifications, onboarding, activation, authentication, user experience, and APIs.
• Break complex initiatives into actionable milestones and stories for the team.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, and maintainability through automated testing, reviews, and pairing.
• Mentor, coach, and provide actionable feedback to help engineers grow.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States for remote work.
• 8+ years of experience developing complex, scalable software products.
• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails and maintainable, efficient code.
• Full-stack development experience with JavaScript, CSS, Stimulus, Turbo, and Hotwire.
• Experience with Linux-based infrastructure, databases such as PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, and external API integrations.
• Experience working in Agile environments, breaking down epics, pairing, mentoring, and collaborating across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Experience working in a Ruby on Rails monolith.
• Interest in building platform capabilities and working with Tailwind UI.
