Lab Support Specialist (Biotech)

Location: Onsite in Somerset, New Jersey, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and complete Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements.

Base pay: $78,251–$102,705 per year. Performance-based bonus and/or equity may be available for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Support laboratory IT capabilities, R&D systems, scientific applications, and computing equipment.
• Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding of laboratory instruments, including procurement, network connectivity, vendor configuration, risk assessment, and qualification.
• Install, configure, document, test, and upgrade instrument systems, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot instrument software, laboratory equipment, firmware, computer-to-instrument connectivity, and network issues.
• Provision user accounts for laboratory equipment and scientific applications such as FlowJo, Zageno, SnapGene, and journal subscriptions.
• Track incidents and service requests in the ITSM system, maintain knowledge articles, and collaborate with scientists, vendors, engineering, facilities, quality, and IT teams.

Requirements

• BS degree and at least two years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting systems and applications in laboratory environments.
• Understanding of laboratory science, GxP software administration, computer systems validation, SDLC, and Windows-based operating systems.
• Experience supporting standalone or enterprise computerized systems, interacting directly with users, and providing training.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required. Work in GMP suites requires compliance with Grade B gowning and cleaning protocols.
