Design & Service Center Manager (Jewelry Repair)

Location: Design and Service Center, Shops at North East Mall, Hurst, Texas, United States. Onsite role with regular travel by car to local stores; air and overnight travel may occasionally be required.

What you will do

• Oversee daily operations, workflow, production, billing, receiving, shipping, equipment, security, and inventory for the Design & Service Center.
• Lead, recruit, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate administrative coordinators, jewelers, and jeweler apprentices.
• Plan production capacity, prioritize rush and custom jobs, and maintain continuous workflow and on-time delivery.
• Manage quality control, repair estimates, parts ordering, first-time-right performance, audits, profitability, and other operational metrics.
• Partner with stores and outside vendors, resolve customer and team concerns, and provide store support and occasional visits.
• Maintain safety, PPE, training, inventory, shipping, payroll, attendance, and company policy compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum skill set of a Level B Jeweler; continued development toward Level A and Level AA skills.
• Leadership, communication, coaching, performance-management, analytical, customer-service, and multitasking abilities.
• Previous management experience and experience driving team performance and metrics.
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurability, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, handle merchandise, and lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; an associate or bachelor's degree, CAD/CAM skills, and GIA gemology training are preferred or useful.

Nice to have

• Computer-Aided Design or Computer-Aided Manufacturing skills.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• GIA Gemology training.
