Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote, LATAM

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year for LATAM; $165,195–$195,000 per year for the US. Equity and bonus are offered for the US package.

hirify.global develops open and commercial products for network automation, including NetBox, NetBox Enterprise, NetBox Cloud, and Orb, an open source network observability platform.

What you will do

• Build and maintain network discovery, reconciliation, observability, monitoring, and agent fleet-management software.
• Develop closed-source and open-source services for complex network management.
• Design protobuf APIs using gRPC and Connect RPC.
• Build multi-tenant, event-driven systems with reliable delivery and idempotent consumers.
• Collaborate with product owners, the NetBox team, the platform team, and open-source community members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with idiomatic Go.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and migrations, Redis, RabbitMQ, OAuth2/OIDC, and protobuf APIs.
• Deep knowledge of observability, instrumentation, and OpenTelemetry.
• Solid understanding of network devices, configurations, protocols, and layers.
• Ability to use coding agents while maintaining accountability for correctness, security, and testing.

Nice to have

• 3+ years in a fast-paced startup environment.
• MQTT, other device or IoT protocols, or gNMI experience.
• Production Kubernetes experience.
• Django, NetBox, or NetBox plugin experience.
• Python experience for tests and tooling.
