TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Maintaining and scaling multi-environment cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with an accent on reliability, automation, observability, and developer enablement. Focus on administering Kubernetes and container platforms, troubleshooting deployments and incidents, optimizing cloud costs, and supporting disaster recovery.

Location: Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD 110,000–140,000 per annum

hirify.global is hiring for an Infrastructure Management team focused on reliable and scalable engineering environments.

What you will do

  • Manage and optimise multi-environment cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or GCP.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable automation frameworks, and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
  • Administer Kubernetes and container platforms, including EKS/GKE and Docker.
  • Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions while responding to incidents.
  • Partner with development teams through documentation, runbooks, self-service tools, and infrastructure guidance.
  • Support disaster recovery, scheduled releases, Agile ceremonies, and after-hours incident response when required.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps, SysOps, or CloudOps environment.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes administration, Docker, and EKS/GKE.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite, or Bamboo.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and scripting in Python or Bash.
  • Knowledge of DNS, VPCs, routing, subnets, and VPN connectivity.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, independent-working, and prioritisation skills; a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
