Salary: USD 81,700–187,800 annual base salary in North Carolina; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement AI and machine learning models, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, algorithm selection, training, and evaluation.
• Gather and analyze datasets using statistical methods, data analysis, and visualization techniques.
• Optimize models through hyperparameter tuning, experimentation, feature selection, and dimensionality reduction.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to integrate AI/ML solutions into products and systems.
• Document methodologies, code, experiments, and results, and prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews, stand-ups, testing, debugging, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Typically 0–2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, linear algebra, calculus, optimization, and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience with large datasets, data preprocessing, data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, SQL, databases, and data visualization tools.
• Ability to work primarily onsite from an HPE office in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, neural networks, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.
