Senior Data Scientist (Gamedev)

What you will do

• Build machine learning products to improve player or fan experience.
• Understand skill-related problems, identify product opportunities, and establish experimentation best practices.
• Own the ML and AI iteration loop, including dataset creation, feature engineering, and model management.
• Build ML and AI tools, dashboards, web apps, forecasts, and simulations for game development.
• Continually improve data science practices by identifying novel applications and technical approaches.
• Develop relationships with game producers, designers, QA, product managers, and engineering to ensure successful ML feature launches.

Requirements

• Experience delivering full-stack solutions from requirements to deployment.
• 2+ years of experience with applied data products, specifically with skill-based matchmaking systems in large multiplayer online games.
• Master's degree in Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Math, or related Computer Science/Quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience (B.Sci with 3 years).
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and common machine learning frameworks (tensorflow, torch, scikit-learn, Spark MLlib).
• Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing online experiments and deploying ML models at scale.
• Work authorization for the USA is required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and implementing online services and features at scale.
• Experience with big-data platforms such as Spark and Airflow.
• Experience with modern deep learning frameworks in practical applications.
