What you will do
- Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for the card issuing and card management portfolio.
- Drive card issuance, activation, usage, transaction growth, revenue, profitability, and customer lifetime value.
- Lead delivery of virtual cards, contactless payments, tokenization, card controls, PIN management, digital wallets, notifications, fraud controls, and recurring payments.
- Manage the end-to-end card product lifecycle, including launches, post-launch monitoring, customer journeys, and digital experience optimization.
- Represent Vodacom Financial Services in relationships and working groups with VISA and other payment ecosystem partners.
- Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior product team members, and promote data-driven product management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least eight years of total experience, including five or more years in product management or an equivalent role across full product lifecycles.
- Experience leading and mentoring Agile or DevOps teams in large, multi-team environments.
- Strong experience in card issuing, payments, banking, fintech, or financial services, including delivery of card-based or payment-based digital products.
- Experience working directly with VISA or other global card schemes, with knowledge of card processing ecosystems and payment rails.
- Knowledge of card product management, Agile delivery, digital payments, tokenization, digital wallets, fraud prevention, payment processing, and regulatory compliance.
Nice to have
- Experience with market research, design thinking, lean start-up methods, business modelling, and customer experience design.
- Experience with business case development, financial analysis, product commercialization, vendor management, and partner negotiation.
