Group Engineering Manager (Infrastructure Direction)

What you will do

• Lead and manage multiple DevOps engineering teams of 30–50+ engineers.
• Own delivery, quality, technical outcomes, roadmap, and resource allocation across the infrastructure area.
• Translate business requirements into technical execution with Product, Trading, and senior engineering leadership.
• Drive engineering strategy, cross-team alignment, and architectural decisions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, observability, and long-term scalability of production systems.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop Engineering Managers and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as a DevOps or Back End Software Engineer.
• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, including management of Engineering Managers or Team Leads.
• Background in financial systems, trading platforms, or other high-reliability domains.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies.
• Experience operating systems on AWS, including EC2, networking, security, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with observability tools, metrics, logging, alerting, and performance monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with on-premise infrastructure and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience in Ruby and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems, trading, fintech, or market-data platforms.
• Experience scaling teams and systems.
