What you will do

• Assemble full-scale and small-scale construction prototypes from experimental designs.
• Conduct laboratory and workshop testing of building systems, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, workshop equipment, and machinery for prototype fabrication and assembly.
• Prepare test setups, record measurements and observations, and document test results.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and research teams to provide prototype-testing feedback.
• Identify assembly challenges and improve construction methods, product designs, and manufacturing workflows.

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, building physics, construction technology, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Practical experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or technical assembly.
• Confidence using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
• Ability to document work, measurements, and test results accurately.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly documentation.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Construction site, fabrication workshop, laboratory, or prototyping experience.
