Senior AI Engineer

Location: Remote, United States; the listed base salary range applies to United States residents only.

Salary: $108,400–$129,600 USD annually

What you will do

• Diagnose business problems, map workflows, identify constraints, and determine whether AI is the appropriate solution.
• Own AI initiatives end to end, from stakeholder discovery and technical design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.
• Design and ship AI-powered solutions, prototypes, integrations, and workflow improvements with measurable business outcomes.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems using APIs, orchestration tools, modern AI platforms, and the hirify.global Duo Agent Platform.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Evaluate tools, document reusable patterns, define success metrics, and contribute to technical direction.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States for this role's listed salary eligibility.
• Strong coding ability in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar modern scripting language.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, enterprise integrations, data models, and business workflows.
• Practical expertise in prompt engineering, model selection, RAG, context management, agentic architectures, evaluation, and production reliability.
• Ability to design AI safety controls including input validation, output filtering, access controls, prompt-injection defenses, and data-leakage prevention.
• Experience owning complex initiatives from discovery through delivery and measuring business, flow, adoption, and ROI outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with the hirify.global platform and CI/CD workflows.
• Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Familiarity with value-stream mapping, flow metrics, or Theory of Constraints.
• Experience with n8n, Make, Workato, or similar low-code/no-code orchestration tools.
• Startup or high-growth company experience and experience mentoring junior engineers.
