Regulatory Lawyer Colombia (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support corporate, commercial, regulatory, technology, consumer protection, labor, and contentious legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, corporate, and government-related contracts.
• Manage corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and employment-law matters under Colombian legislation and financial-sector regulations.
• Lead regulatory matters before the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, including filings, supervisory responses, and ongoing obligations.
• Support SAC processes, customer complaint resolution, consumer protection matters, lawsuits, administrative proceedings, and constitutional actions.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal and compliance risks, business continuity, scalability, and responsible growth.

Requirements

• Law degree with strong experience in corporate, financial, and regulatory law, preferably in financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience with financial regulators, ideally the Colombian Financial Superintendence, including regulatory filings and supervisory processes.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, employment-related legal matters, and risk management.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters under high workloads and provide practical advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience or demonstrated expertise in artificial intelligence, ideally in corporate governance or a related legal area.
• Conversational English required.
