What you will do

• Validate structured and unstructured datasets for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and lineage integrity.
• Apply statistical techniques, pattern recognition, and anomaly-detection algorithms to identify irregularities without relying on domain expertise.
• Design automated validation checks for schemas, thresholds, data drift, distributions, rules, and machine-learning-based assessments.
• Develop scripts, tools, pipelines, and reusable frameworks for automated data-quality assessments across multiple sources and formats.
• Integrate validation capabilities into ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with data engineering, product, and reporting teams to ensure data is reliable for operational, analytical, and AI-driven systems.

Requirements

• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, cleaning, and validation.
• Experience with Python or R for data processing, automation, and tool development.
• Experience with large datasets, modern data platforms, data-quality frameworks, anomaly detection, and statistical validation.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT data-integration patterns and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with GenAI concepts, prompt engineering, LLM-assisted automation, and building agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio or comparable technology.
• Strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, abstraction, hypothesis-driven thinking, and pattern-recognition skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data-quality monitoring tools such as SODA.
• Familiarity with data-engineering concepts.
